Your best client – your biggest sale
The little voice was back. It was quiet but insidious in the depth of its destruction. Where it came from nobody knows or remembers.
It just quietly crept in and it’s keeping you from making the biggest sale of your life. That number one sale that has to be made for everyone and anyone to attain their goal is the most important sale ever made.
That sale is you.
You have to sell you. Not the “you” in the business aspect of having to sell your expertise or knowledge so others will physically purchase a product or service from you. Although that is obviously important as well. That is more posture and image.
No, the “you” I am referring to is “you”. That little voice inside you that tells you who you are and what you can do. The little voice that when listened to appears to hold all the reasons why you can’t or shouldn’t or don’t deserve to do, be and have.
That internal dialogue, is ongoing. It’s consistent. You have to control it, you have to direct it where you want it to go. The Bible tells you to “capture every thought” because without that capture, that awareness, of what you are selling yourself, you will believe and act on the direction of that “little voice.”
And that little voice is seldom healthy. Seldom breeding success. Seldom is it to your benefit.
I have a friend. A brilliant man. Caring, compassionate, educated. A man, stopped by his choice of listening to those little voices who lie to him, fill him with self doubt, prevent him from fulfilling his desire to look after and provide for the beautiful woman in his life. A man stopped by little voices.
A man filled with great strength in every area of his being except for one – his little voices who tear him down at every opportunity.
I urge him, and you, and I have to remind myself too often at times that we can control, we have mastery over each thought that enters our minds. We can choose what we want to listen to. We can choose what we want to act on. We can choose who our clients are.
I choose to make the biggest and best sale of my life – to me!
