One technique, one weed at a time !

It was a beautiful morning.  Temperatures in the low 70s.  Sun had been up no more than an hour.  Not a mosquito in sight.  Empty coffee cup on the deck.  Time to stretch and get moving for the day.  But first a slow stroll around the flower beds.  Time to weed.

Quick check on the kids and they were in their jammies building a large castle with their wooden blocks on the back door step.  Mock battles, princesses rescued, knights in shiny armour.  They were OK.

Picking a section to start, I enjoyed every minute pulling out weeds from around each flower.  Stepping back, done, I noticed a weed I had missed.  How did that happen?  Pulled it out, stepped back again and another weed jumped out at me.

By this time, I’m muttering under my breath “This is just like online marketing, you learn something, think you’ve got it aced, step back and realize there’s something else you have to do or learn.”   Read the rest of this entry

Thanks for the return visit. Have you subscribed to my RSS feed yet? If so thanks !

Someone sent this cute little story to me not realizing the power of the story as it relates to marketing strategies and business plans in the network marketing industry.

A married couple in their early 70s was celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in a quiet, romantic little restaurant.  Suddenly, a tiny yet beautiful fairy  appeared on their table. She said, ‘For being such an exemplary married couple and for being loving to each other for  all this time, I will grant you each a wish.’  The wife  answered, ‘Oh, I want to travel around the world with my darling  husband.’  The fairy waved her magic wand and – poof! – two  tickets for the Queen Mary II appeared in her hands.
The husband thought for a moment: ‘Well, this is all very  romantic, but an opportunity like this will never come  again.  I’m sorry my love, but my wish is to have a wife 30  years younger than me.’  The wife and the fairy were deeply disappointed, but a wish is a wish.  So the fairy waved her magic wand and poof!….the husband became 102 years  old.

His intent and his results were one and the same.

I’m going to make a big assumption here and assume you got involved in network marketing to change your life, to make some money, to create a better world for yourself and your loved ones.  Money which you in turn can be “used for good!” Read the rest of this entry

MLM wisdom for success

This was a fun little video I did after getting back from a fun and exciting day at the rodeo.  As you can see by the video my kids are absorbing more than I ever thought.

The seriousness of the Plan – Do – Review strategy cannot (although I did in this video) be overlooked or even made light of.  Business decisions, real decisions that are going to predict the outcome of your future depend on implementing each one of these steps.

The impact for me was huge.  Here’s how it happened. Read the rest of this entry

Here were these ducks, walking across my lawn.  They caught my attention because it was raining and raining hard.  Sheets of rain.  I thought to myself “Only ducks would enjoy going for a stroll in weather like this”.  But as I continued to watch them I realized there was a mother duck and 3 babies.  Each following the one in front.  In a straight line.  There wasn’t an obstacle in sight and yet if mom zigged, the babies zigged, if mom zagged the babies zagged.  Photobucket I slide open the patio door (why? don’t know.  For some reason I felt closer to them I guess) and the mom, hearing the sound, stopped dead in her tracks (as did the babies) and she watched me.  Intensely.

Are you in business?

Ever wondered what it takes to be a business owner?

Look to the successful business owners in your community. They know what they are doing.

Example: I had a problem in my personal life. I needed a light weight but heavy duty trimmer/edger that would reach way beyond where a typical electric trimmer could go. (In your network marketing business your problem may be a lack of leads or finances)

Mastermind Your Way To Success

No, I don’t mean getting together with a group of your friends who are going to pat you on the back regardless of what you are doing.

Jack Canfield in his book “The Success Principles” describes it as a process for accelerating your growth.  I quote “Some of the most valuable feedback I have ever received has come from members of my mastermind group confronting me about overcommitting, selling my services too cheaply, focusing on the trivial, not delegating enough, thinking too small, and playing it safe.”

The Basics – The very fundamentals of MLM

Would you agree that getting traffic is useless unless you understanding marketing and sales?

No?  Or maybe you’ve never thought about it quite that way?  Don’t feel bad, most people have very little knowledge that sales and marketing are crucial and if you are like me, you thought all the skills you had to master was how to make a lot of friends.  Network, make friends, introduce your opportunity after you have this true friendship built.  I was totally ignorant of what I needed to do.  It is impossible to build up any type of long term, trusting relationship with thousands of people on a social networking site.  You may be lucky if you have 5 that you have a true dialogue with at any given time.   Read the rest of this entry

My interview with Richard Bravo

Richard Bravo
This interview is based on a response Richard Bravo made on Betternetworker.com to a forum post entitled:  Is $350K a month too much too expect?”

The response required, in my mind, additional clarification to really get it straight in my head how and what I need to do to accomplish his suggestions.  I saw in his words the pure gold of growth.

The interview (in part): Read the rest of this entry

Want to grow? Invite feedback !

Long weekend Monday.  Thunderstorms with the typical lightening bolts flashing consistently kept my two infants inside with no television, movies or computer.  Out come the games, the playdoe and lots of crafts.

The 5 year old is still struggling with what the professionals call “fine motor skills”.  Scissors are held upside down, sideways and occasionally the right way.  The paper rips in places it’s not supposed to rip, gets cut in places that shouldn’t be cut and generally doesn’t end up with a satisfactory result.
